Edge cases handled
The blank field, the duplicate, the record that arrives twice. Filters, Paths and lookups that don't break on the second run.
Zapier is the fastest way to ship an automation, and the fastest way to build a bill nobody understands. I build Zaps that only fire when they should, with error paths, priced against what the same job would cost on Make or n8n.
The most common finding on a first call: Zaps fire on every record and throw most of them out three steps later, after the tasks are spent.
Illustration: 10 records a run, 6 filtered out. Same outcome either way.
I build on all three, so the recommendation costs me nothing either way.
| Question | Zapier | Make | n8n |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Speed and app coverage | More logic per run | High volume or compliance |
| Volume | Modest, e.g. 200 runs a month | Mid volume | 50,000 runs a month and up |
| Cost | Per task. Adds up at scale | Lower per operation | Free if self-hosted |
| Self-host | No | No | Yes |

Claude or OpenAI for drafting, sorting or lead scoring, with a fallback path when the answer is unusable.
A short code step or a small hosted endpoint, instead of six Formatter steps chained together and hoping.
Errors go to Slack or email, autoreplay where it's safe, and a manual queue for anything that must not be dropped.
What each Zap does, what starts it, what it touches and how to debug it. No handover call needed.
You add me with the access you're comfortable with, and remove it when we're done. Nothing to transfer.
“This guy is the real deal! I've recommended him to 3 people. Easy to work with, smooth process, and consistent communication.”
30 minutes on your Zaps and task usage: what's wasting tasks, what's fragile.
Step-by-step spec per Zap, the apps it needs, one fixed price.
Real data and the edge cases that actually happen.
Error alerts on, and a week of checking the history together.
Anything that misbehaves in month one, I fix free.
Usually, yes, and often without changing a single outcome. The common cause is filtering late: a Zap fires on every record and discards most of them three steps in. Moving the filter to step one, merging duplicate Zaps and turning off the forgotten ones is the first pass. If volume is genuinely high, the honest answer is Make or n8n.
Zapier for speed and app coverage at modest volume. Make when you want more logic per run at mid volume and a lower cost per operation. n8n when volume is high or you need to self-host for cost or compliance.
It depends on how many Zaps and steps, and whether there's an AI step. You get one fixed price after a free 30-minute call, before any work starts.
Yes. You add me with the access level you're comfortable with, and I work in there, so nothing has to be rebuilt or transferred. Remove my access whenever the project ends.
Yes. For light internal tools they're genuinely good. I'll flag it when a Zapier Table is being asked to do a database's job, because it's cheaper to know that before you build on top.
A free 30-minute audit call. I'll find the waste in your current Zaps and tell you what's worth rebuilding.
