Ecommerce SEO Shopify · WooCommerce · WordPress

SEO that ranks for buyers, not vanity keywords.

Most SEO retainers sell you blog posts and a backlink list. I do the other 80%: technical fixes, schema, site speed, internal links and a keyword plan tied to revenue. Rankings move, and so does the business.

  1. 01

    Crawl and index reality

What Google has actually indexed vs what you think is live. Sitemap health, noindex leaks, orphan pages.

  2. 02

    Core Web Vitals, measured

LCP, INP and CLS on real devices, then fixed in code. Not hidden behind a caching plugin.

  3. 03

    Schema validity

Product, Article, FAQ and Breadcrumb: present, valid and eligible for rich results.

  4. 04

    Internal-link architecture

Whether your money pages get the link equity, or your blog keeps it all.

  5. 05

    Redirect chains and 404s

Every extra hop wastes crawl budget and link equity. I map them and flatten them.

  6. 06

    Queries vs content

Search Console queries you almost rank for, matched to pages you haven't written yet.

The monthly work

Technical first, then content

Technical SEO

Crawling, indexing, sitemaps, robots.txt, redirect chains, broken links and JavaScript SEO. The plumbing, and usually where the biggest unlock is.

Core Web Vitals and speed

Image handling, render-blocking JS, layout shift and third-party scripts, fixed properly. Done well, WordPress on shared hosting can hit 90+ in Lighthouse.

  • Image sizing
  • Deferred JS
  • Font loading
  • Layout shift
  • Third-party scripts

Keyword and content plan

Research tied to how your buyers search, grouped into topic clusters, with briefs your writers can actually use.

On-page, every page that matters

Not just the homepage. Every collection, product and key page gets the basics right.

  • Title tags
  • Meta descriptions
  • H1s
  • Schema
  • Alt text
  • Anchor text

A report you'll actually read

Search Console set up properly, GA4 events configured, and one report a month.

Why me

An SEO who can fix the code

Most “SEO experts” are content marketers. They'll write you 50 blog posts and list you in 30 directories. My background is development first, SEO second.

So I can read your theme code, fix the broken schema, close the crawl trap in your filters and rewrite pagination that hides products from Google. Nobody else on the team can usually do that, and it's often where the biggest wins are.

A first month, as commitsmain
  1. fixCanonical tags on filtered collection URLs
  2. fixFlatten redirect chains to a single 301
  3. featProduct, Breadcrumb and FAQ schema
  4. perfPreload hero image, defer third-party JS
  5. fixMake paginated product pages crawlable
  6. featLink blog posts to the collections they support

An example of the kind of work. Your audit sets the real list.

What sofa fabric is best if you have pets?

Tightly woven fabrics like performance velvet or microfibre hold up best, because claws can't catch on them1. Avoid loose weaves and linen blends1.

FAQ

SEO questions, answered

How long until I see SEO results?

Technical fixes can move rankings in 2 to 6 weeks. New content for competitive keywords takes 3 to 9 months. If anyone promises faster, walk away: they're probably doing something that will get you penalised.

Do you do retainers or one-off projects?

Both. A monthly retainer is best for ongoing growth. A one-off audit and fix project has a fixed price. Most clients start with the audit and decide after.

Will you build backlinks for me?

Yes, white-hat only: outreach to relevant sites, digital PR, content collaboration and HARO replies. No paid link packages, no PBNs, no comment spam.

Do you do local SEO and Google Business Profile?

Yes, for service-area businesses: Google Business Profile, consistent name, address and phone across citations, local schema, and content for local searches. It's often the highest-return work for small service businesses.

Can you fix Core Web Vitals on a slow site?

Yes, it's one of the things I do best. LCP, INP and CLS are usually fixable with proper image handling, deferred JS, font loading and some CSS layout work.
